UNLV In A Trio Of Meets|

LAS VEGAS - The UNLV women's track and field team will be at various meets in California this weekend as the Rebels resume their outdoor season after having last weekend off from competition.
Rebel student-athletes are slated to compete at the Pacific Coast Invitational at Cal State Dominguez Hills, the Vs Athletics Invitational at Long Beach State and the Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner Kersee Invitational in UCLA. The trio of meets will give UNLV head coach Barbara Ferrell-Edmonson and her staff the opportunity to have the Rebels compete in many events over the weekend.
The first meet of the trip for UNLV will be this Friday at Cal State Dominguez Hills for the inaugural Pacific Coast Invitational, which the Rebels are helping in hosting as well. The meet will take place at the Home Depot Center on the campus of CSDH and is scheduled to start at 9:00 a.m. (PT) with the women's 5,000 meters, the women's hammer and the men's long jump
Then on Saturday the majority of the Rebels will travel to Long Beach State for its meet, which is slated to start at 9:00 a.m. (PT) with the men's hammer throw and the first field event is women's steeplechase at 9:30 a.m. The final event of the day is the men's and women's 10,000 meters.
Distance runners Jennifer Shearer and Charlotte Browning will head to Los Angeles to run in the UCLA meet, held at Drake Stadium on Saturday. Shearer will be running in the 5,000 meters and Browning will compete in the 1,500 meters.
