ST. GEORGE, Utah - UNLV women's track and field is hosting its final home meets of the outdoor season, welcoming four women's teams to Myron Partridge Stadium/Sheila Tarr-Smith Field for a two-day meet that begins Friday morning.

Competing along with the Rebels will be Cal State Dominguez Hills, Cal State Northridge, Dixie State College, Southern Utah and Utah Valley State along with individuals from around the area. The meet will be broken down into two days, with throwing events being held on Friday and then running events taking place on Saturday. A total of 36 events will be run as both men and women will be competing.

Head coach Barbara Ferrell-Edmonson will be looking for more of their student-athletes to earn NCAA Regional spots, as a total of three Rebels have accomplished that feat thus far this season. Lauren Johnson has qualified in the 200 meters, Charlotte Browning in the 1,500 meters and Meia Tezeno in 100-meter hurdles and the long jump.

This will be the second-to-last outdoor meet of the regular season for the Rebels, who ran will compete at the Steve Scott Invitational on April 28 before the Mountain West Conference Championships on May 9-12.

Both days of the meet are free and open to the public.
