LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV track & field program will head West to California and have members participating at the Mt. SAC Relays and at the Beach Invitational this weekend. The Rebels will see action on both Friday, April 19 and Saturday, April 20.

A small contingent of Rebels will travel to Hilmer Lodge Stadium on the campus of Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut. A total of ten wearing the Scarlet & Gray will compete in the relays.

"We are always excited to compete at the Mt. SAC Relays," said head coach Yvonne Wade. "It is one of the premier meets on the West Coast, and it's a great opportunity for our student-athletes to compete against some of the best athletes in the country and even the world."

Emily Blok will participate in three different sections of the relays. Blok will run in the Olympic Development's 4x100 relay - along with Uchechi Anunkor, Monay Meggs and Kelsey Williamson - and the 200m. She will run in the university/open 100m and the invitational 4x400m relay with the same partners.

Members of the relays will also compete in other races, as well. Anunkor will run in the 100m and join Meggs in the 200m, while Williamson races in the 800m.

Also competing in at the Relays are: Myshauna Alexander (javelin), Alva Castillo (400 and 4x400m relay), Corey Honeycutt (800m), Taylar Mills (100m hurdles) and Erin Morris (100m hurdles).

A larger group of Rebels will head to Norwalk for the Beach Invitational hosted by Long Beach State, but held at Cerritos College.

Both Morris and Alexander will see action at the Invitational after completing their events at the Relays. Morris will run the 100m hurdles and the 100m, while Alexander will compete in the discus.

Three Rebels - Auzsane Crowe-Carter, Courtney Allen and Miranda Menzies - will run the 800m, while Jordan Hardy will enter both hurdle competitions - the 100m and 400m.

Besides Alexander, Adrianna Oliva (shot put and discus) and Cortney Miller (hammer) look to do well in the throwing events.

In the jumps, Ayana Gales will enter the long jump and triple jump.
