Rebels Place Six Individuals, Two Relays On All-MW Outdoor Team

LAS VEGAS ( - Fresh off a runner-up finish at the outdoor conference championships, UNLV placed six individuals as well as its 4x100m relay and 4x400m relay squads on the 2018 Mountain West Track & Field All-Conference Team.

All-MW honors are awarded to those individuals and relay teams that place in the top three in an event at the outdoor meet.

Najia Hudspeth not only earned all-conference recognition for her runner-up finish in the 400m, but also for helping the 4x100m relay and 4x400m relay teams to second-place finishes. Kaysha Love was also on both relay teams. Jasmyne Graham and Destiny Smith-Barnett joined Najia Hudspeth and Love in the 4x100m relay, while the aforementioned duo teamed up with Nylia Hudspeth and Avi'Tal Perteete in the 4x400m relay.



Jaela Williams claimed All-MW status in the long jump (second) and 100m hurdles (third), while Graham (100m hurdles/first), Mackenna Howard (shot put/third), Avi'Tal Perteete (800/first) and Smith-Barnett (100m/second) were also recognized.

- UNLV's second-place finish tied for the best finish in an MW Outdoor Championships; the 2000 squad was second, too.
- Perteete's 800m time of 2:02.87 is the fastest in MW history and second best in the Rebels' all-time performance list.
- Graham's 100m hurdles time of 13.10 is the third fastest in MW history and tops in Rebel program history.

- Perteete ranks fifth in the West Region with a time of 2:02.87 in the 800m; fifth in the nation.
- Graham ranks 11th in the West Region with a time of 13.10 in the 100m hurdles; 24th in the nation.
- Smith-Barnett ranks 13th in the West Region with a time of 11.25 in the 100m; 31st in the nation.
- Howard ranks 16th in the West Region with a mark of 54-4.75/16.58m in the shot put; 25th in the nation.
