Wade Gets The Call To CU's Hall of Fame|

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV track & field head coach Yvonne (Scott) Wade will be one of nine individuals inducted into the University of Colorado's Athletic Hall of Fame on Oct. 30. Wade (1992-96), who is in her seventh year at the helm of the Rebel program, will join Bob Beattie (ski coach/1957-65), Forrest B. Cox (basketball coach/1935-50), Jim Davis (basketball, 1961-64), Deon Figures (football/1988-92), Bob Jeangerard (basketball/1952-55), Linn Long (wrestling/1952-55, 1961-68), Don Meyers (track & field/1959-62, 1968-75) and Herb Orvis (football/1969-71) as members of the 2014 class.
Wade won three consecutive Big 8 outdoor titles in the 100m hurdles from 1994-96 and helped CU win the conference championship during her senior campaign. She earned All-American honors in both indoor and outdoor competition as a student-athlete. She represented Japan at the 1996 (Atlanta) and 2000 (Sydney) Olympics in the 100m hurdles.
"I am honored to be recognized by my alma mater," said Wade. "It is a very special distinction and I am excited to be a part of CU's athletic history."
