Seventeen Recognized For Classroom Success|

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV track & field program had 17 of its own recognized for classroom success by the Mountain West. The Rebels had 17 student-athletes named to the Spring 2015 Academic All-Mountain West Team - which ties a program high - with six of those also earning the MW Scholar-Athlete Award.
Jordan Hardy, Cortney Miller, Jordan Smith and Juliet Summers-Hernandez became three-time representatives on the Academic All-MW Team, while Erin Bowers, Summer Crawley, Kyra Day, Madison Johonnot, Miranda Menzies, Janeek Mollique and Kylee Vandenberg were featured for the second time. Drea Austin, Micayla Coquia, Lindy Eskin, MacKenna Howard, Iris Munguia and Angela Ziff are newcomers to the squad.
To be eligible for selection to the Academic Team, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic team at the member institution, while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletics team.
Bowers, Johonnot, Mollique and Vandenberg have been named to the Scholar-Athlete Award twice, while Eskin and Howard are first timers.
The MW Scholar-Athlete Award is one of the highest academic honors bestowed by the Conference. Student-athletes must have completed at least two academic terms at the member institution, while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better, and have participated in varsity competition in a MW-sponsored sport.
