LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV track & field's Kelsey Williamson and Emily Blok were named to the 2011 USTFCCCA Division I All-Academic Track & Field Team announced Thursday by the organization.

Williamson (3.57, business administration) and Blok (3.48, kinesiological sciences) are no strangers to earning recognition for their classroom achievements, as the Mountain West named the sophomores to the academic all-conference list for the second time in their careers. Williamson was also been named to the MW's Scholar-Athlete Award twice, as well.

The duo were part of a contingent of 10 Rebels that represented UNLV at the 2011 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Preliminaries held at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Williamson finished 40th in the 800m. Blok, on the other hand, advanced to the quarterfinals in both the 100m and 200m and helped the 4x100m relay team to a 14th place finish.

To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have met either of the following athletic standards: for the indoor season, a student-athlete must have finished the regular season ranked in the national top 96 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 48 (collective listing) in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list provided by TFRRS.org; for the outdoor season, a student-athlete must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Championships (including preliminary rounds).
