LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - Enoch Borozinski was named as an assistant track and field coach at UNLV, head coach Yvonne Scott announced on Wednesday. Borozinski will be in charge of developing the horizontal and vertical jumpers as well as the multi-event student-athletes.

Borozinski spent the past seven years as an assistant coach at Syracuse University where he coached six student-athletes to the NCAA Championship in eight different events. Three of those eight went on being named All-Americans. He mentored three BIG EAST Most Outstanding Field recipients and enjoyed 15 conference event champions. His student-athletes currently hold 10 school records in field events.

Borozinski is no stranger to the Silver State, as he is a 1995 graduate of Nevada, Reno, where he was the 1994 NCAA Division I national champion in the decathlon. He served as a graduate assistant coach at UNR from 1995-97 and as a volunteer assistant at UNLV from 1999-2002. He also worked as an assistant coach at Coronado High School directing the school's hurdlers and pole vaulters.

A 2004 inductee into UNR's Hall of Fame, Borozinski was the 1994 Big West Conference Male Track & Field Athlete of the Year.

After his collegiate career, Borozinski trained with Nike for two years under the guidance of Dave Rodda.

Borozinski, a Scottsdale, Ariz., native, and his wife Olga have two sons, Vance and Maxeem, and an English Mastiff, Oxo.
