UNLV ~Mariana returns for her second season as a middle blocker. 2004 ~She led all Rebels with 100 games played in 26 matches. ~She tied for the most blocks in a match (Nine vs. Wyoming, Oct. 3). ~She had 11 matches where her attacking percentage was over .400. ~She had 12 matches in which she had 10 or more kills. ~She picked up five of her 38 digs against Nevada, Reno (Nov. 7). ~She had three matches where she picked up two aces; at New Mexico (Nov. 11), at Air Force (Nov. 13), vs. Wyoming (Nov. 18). Junior College ~She played at Midland JC in Midland, Texas, from 2002-03. ~She was named MVP and was awarded all-conference honors both seasons. ~She led the NJCAA in kills per game during the 2003 season. High School ~She graduated from high school in 2002 from General Vladimir Stoychev. ~She won six gold medals and one bronze in the national championships of Bulgaria.
