Gray Wins Scrimmage In Four Sets|

The Gray team was led by a double-double from Alyssa Wing, who combined 16 kills with 16 digs for the feat. Wing also contributed three assists, two aces and one assisted block in the win.
Caitlin Wernentin and Bree Hammel threw down 12 and 10 kills, respectively for the Gray. The former chipped in six digs, four aces and two assisted blocks compared to seven total blocks (two solo) and three digs for the latter.
Alexis Patterson fell one dig shy of joining Wing in the double-double club with nine digs to go along with a match-high 45 assists.
Carly Riehl topped all defenders in the match with 20 digs for the contest.
The Scarlet squad witnessed two of its own - Natalie Bulen and Daryn Glenn - record double-doubles. Bulen led her team in assists (33) and digs (18) and also served up two aces and one kill. Glenn, on the other hand, had 13 digs, 12 kills, four total blocks (one solo) and one assist.
Katlin Winters topped the Scarlet in both kills (13) and total blocks (four solo) in the losing effort.
Allison Davies, a 2014 All-Mountain West Preseason Team selection, had 15 digs to round out a Scarlet trio to reach double figures in the scrimmage.
The Rebels kick off the season on Aug. 29-31 with their own UNLV Invitational. Cal State Northridge, UC Riverside and Western Kentucky will visit Las Vegas for the three-day, seven-match tournament held at the Cox Pavilion.
