LAS VEGAS - The UNLV women's volleyball team made easy work of Morgan State in the opening game of the UNLV Invitational, winning 3-0 (30-23, 30-14, 30-11).

The Rebels out-hit the Lady Bears .444 to .062 in the three-game match. Senior Leiana Oswald led UNLV with 17 kills and a .640 (17-1-25) attack percentage. She also tallied seven digs, one service ace and a block.

Freshman Lauren Miramontes, who only played in the final two games, finished the match with eight kill and a .583 (8-1-12) attack percentage.

Junior Nicki King put up 33 assists, one kill and six digs.

Morgan State was led by Tasha Neal, who finished with 11 kills and two digs.

Cal State Fullerton defeated Lamar 3-1 (31-29, 30-25, 26-30, 30-25) in the only other match played on Friday.

Four matches will be played on Saturday, beginning with Cal State Fullerton vs. Morgan State at 11 a.m. UNLV will play Lamar at 1:30 p.m. and Cal State Fullerton at 7:30 p.m.
