"We struggled with our hitting again, but WKU played very well against us as we had expected since they are a nationally ranked team," said Rebel head coach Cindy Fredrick. We played one of our toughest preseason schedules with some injuries, but we are getting better as we go."
Stephanie Thelen dished out a team-high 28 assists, while adding three kills, three assisted blocks, two digs and one ace.
WKU's Heather Boyan and Noelle Langenkamp were named to the all-tourney squad, and the duo registered a match-high 11 kills apiece. Boyan led all attackers with a .647 hitting efficiency (11-0-17).

NOTES: With help from her 14 digs, Davies surpassed former Rebel Brittani Lumsden (2004-07) for fourth place in UNLV's record book with 933 career digs ... The three-set match with WKU was the seventh for UNLV to go that distance, while it has only played one four-set and one five-set contest this season.
