LAS VEGAS - The UNLV women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (30-21, 30-21, 30-25) decision to BYU on Friday night at the Cox Pavilion.

UNLV was out-hit .227 (36-14-97) to .095 (42-30-126) in the match. With the loss, the Rebels fall to 11-15, 4-9 in Mountain West Conference play. The Cougars improve to 19-7, 9-4 in league play.

Leiana Oswald and Michelle Banks each tallied 11 kills and seven digs for the Rebels. Banks also finished with three blocks.

Patricia Assuncao added seven kills and three blocks, while Stacy Dunklau had five blocks and four kills.

Nina Franchini finished with 12 digs at the libero spot, while Nicki King had 34 assists as the team's setter.

Lindsey Mecalf led the Cougars with 12 kills and six digs.

UNLV hosts Utah for the conference regular-season finale on Saturday at 7 p.m. in the Cox Pavilion. The Rebels will also honor three senior-members of the team prior to the match.
