FIRST SERVE: After playing eight consecutive matches at home since Sept. 10, the UNLV Rebels hit the road for their next two contests.UNLV will travel to Fort Worth, Texas and Albuquerque this week to face its first Mountain West Conference road matches of 2010 against TCU and New Mexico, respectively.
The Rebels will play TCU Thursday night (Sept. 30) in Fort Worth in a televised match aired by The Mtn. (DirecTV Ch. 616 & Cox Digital Cable 334) at 7:00 pm CT/5:00 pm PT. On Saturday (Oct. 2), UNLV will play against New Mexico at 1:00 pm MT/12:00 pm PT.

ON THE SIDELINES: The UNLV Rebels return to Las Vegas for a pair of Mountain West Contests on Oct. 7 and 9 against Wyoming and #18 Colorado State, respectively. UNLV's Oct. 7 match with Wyoming will be televised live by The Mtn. at 6:30 pm. The Rebels will then host Colorado State in a Saturday matinee (Oct. 9) at 1:00 pm.
NOTE THE TIME CHANGE: Please take note of the time change for UNLV's next home contest on Oct. 7. The Rebels host Wyoming that evening in a televised affair on The Mtn. First serve is scheduled for 6:30 pm.
REBEL REWIND: The UNLV Rebels went 2-0 in their last two outings since Sept. 24. UNLV knocked off Air Force in three sets in the Mountain West Conference opener for both squads and followed that up with a five-set thriller against in-state rival Nevada, Reno.
Sara Nehf and Candice Thomas were the top-two offensive players for UNLV in the two-game span, as they each compiled 25 and 24 kills, respectively. Nehf also contributed four blocks (one solo), four digs and one assist, while Thomas pitched in six blocks (one solo), two digs and one assist.
Kendra Glendenning notched the only double-double for the Rebels with a combination of 19 assists and 15 digs against Nevada, Reno (Sept. 27). In all, Glendenning amassed 21 assists and 20 digs in the two matches.
Amanda Alles led UNLV in assists with 50 after she tallied 25 in each victory. Alles also had five digs, four assisted blocks, four kills and one ace.
Kela Lau Hee led the team with 30 digs with 13 in the three-set sweep of Air Force followed by 17 against Nevada, Reno. Lau Hee also had two assists and one ace.
KEEPING THE STREAKS ALIVE:
With UNLV's last two victories, the Rebels extended their winning streaks over Air Force and Nevada, Reno to 22 and five, respectively. UNLV owns a commanding 27-2 lead in the head-to-head series with Air Force, while they've slowly put distance between itself and UNR at 12-7.
