LAS VEGAS - UNLV senior middle blocker Lauren Miramontes and Utah junior middle hitter Lori Baird were named Mountain West Conference Co-Volleyball Players of the Week. This is the second weekly honor for Miramontes this season (third of her career) and the second career award for Baird.

In a non-conference sweep of Utah Valley State, she had eight total blocks (six assisted, two solo), seven kills, three digs and a hitting efficiency of .429. Against Wyoming, Baird turned in a match-and season-high .632 hitting percentage (13-1-19), while collecting eight total blocks, two service aces and an assist in the Utes' 3-0 win. The Rebels earned 104 points to the Shockers 112. This is the second time this season that UNLV has sat in the 26th spot. After defeating then-#12 BYU and Utah, the Rebels jumped directly into the poll at #26.
