Rebels Turn In Season Bests at Stanford Invite|

PALO ALTO, Calif. - Four UNLV women's cross country runners turned in season best times at the 29th annual Stanford Invitational held at the Stanford Golf Course Saturday.
In the women's college division 6,000 meters race, freshman Michele Suszek (Alpena, Mich.) led the Rebels once again with a season best time of 22:21.00 to place 41st amongst a field of 234 participants.
Freshman and local native Colleen O'Brien (Henderson, Nev.) also set a new season best time of 24:25.00 for 166th. Junior Heather Walsh (North Pole, Alaska) and freshman Katie Hughes (Henderson, Nev.) were the remaining members of the team to post season bests at the event.
One of the largest cross country meets in the nation with 4,099 participants entered (college and high school races), UNLV placed 29th in women's college team scoring. Third-ranked and host Stanford took home top team honors, followed by Duke, UCLA, Wisconsin and UC Irvine.
The Rebels will next take a bye week in preparation for the UCSD Triton Classic set for Saturday, Oct. 12 at 9:30 a.m. in San Diego, Calif.
