LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The Rebel cross country team finished sixth overall (145 team score) at the Titan Invitational hosted by Cal State Fullerton in Fullerton, Calif., on Friday. Six of UNLV's seven runners registered personal-best times in the 5K meet. Auzsane Crowe-Carter led the Rebels with an 18:19.1, which was good enough for 15th overall.

The race consisted of a total of 10 teams - eight of which were NCAA Division I - and a total of 95 individuals. UCLA won the team title with a score of 31.

Rounding out the Rebel contingent were Sara Williams (33rd/18:46.0 PB), Miranda Menzies (44th, 19:10.3 PB), Ryanne Bailey (52nd, 19:22.1 - first 5K as a Rebel), Heather Hernandez-Shaw (53rd, 19:25.5 PB), Arielle Steimer-Barragan (62nd, 19:48.5 PB) and Iris Munguia (79th, 20:46.7 PB).

"I'm proud of how we performed today," said Rebel cross country head coach Jebreh Harris. "We had numerous personal bests and executed out game plan today. I like how we stuck together as a team and ran smart. This was another positive step for our program."

The Titan Invite was the final tune-up before the Rebels head to the Rockies to race in Colorado Springs, Colo., at the 2013 Mountain West Championships on Friday, Nov. 1.
