2011 NCAA West Regional Results

STANFORD, Calif. (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV cross country team finished 25th overall at the NCAA West Regional hosted by Stanford University Saturday morning. The Rebels' top finisher was Lauren Petersen, who ran the 6K at the Stanford Golf Course in a time of 21:58, which was good enough for 82nd.

Six squads entered the regional ranked in the top 25, and each of them claimed the top-six finishes. Washington entered the race sixth overall and won the event with help from its five scoring harriers placing between fifth and 14th overall. In all, the Pac-12 Conference claimed six of the top seven spots with San Francisco slipping in at No. 6.

The Rebels had four other runners finish the race with Alison Bartosch placing 141st with a final time of 22:49. Amanda Berg (162nd, 23:04), Auzsane Crowe-Carter (177th, 23:24) and Melissa Cortes (184th, 23:33) rounded out the UNLV contingent.
