UNLVRebels.com (LAS VEGAS) - The UNLV cross country program had six student-athletes named to the 2012 Fall Academic All-Mountain West eam, the league announced. The Rebels have had at least five fall representatives for four of the past five years.

The Rebels on the list included Laura Affeld (public health), Amanda Berg (culinary arts management), Corey Honeycutt (psychology), Alison Motor (public health), Lauren Petersen (elementary education) and Sara Williams (mechanical engineering).

Petersen becomes a four-time honoree, while Affeld and Berg were both tabbed for the second time to the academic list. Honeycutt, Motor and Williams are all first-time selections.

In all, UNLV had a total of 43 student-athletes named to the academic team - the most for the Scarlet & Gray since 2008 and second-most in school history.

To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team.
