Marable and Harper Shine at Stanford Invitational|

STANFORD, Calif. - Jessica Marable and Hydianne Harper highlighted UNLV's efforts at the Stanford Invitational, which ran Saturday and Sunday, March 28-29. Marable made NCAA provisional qualifying standards with her throw of 48'-08.25" for a first place finish in the shot put. Harper ran to a second place finish in the 100-meter dash, clocking a time of 11.85. Harper's time missed soft cuts by three-tenths of a second (11.55).
Great performances were also turned in by Ayana Hutchinson and Dahhia Smith. Hutchinson placed fifth (12.04) and Smith 15th (12.36) in the 100 meters. Katie Barto was the top distance runner for the Rebels, finishing 34th in the 3,000-meter run with her time of 10:31.54. Running the hurdles for UNLV was Kim Evans, who finished 20th in the 400-meter hurdles (1:10.11) and 37th in the 100-meter hurdles (17.89). Rounding out the invite for the Rebels was Laren Parker's 30th place finish in the long jump (4.80m).
UNLV returns to action this Saturday, April 4, as they travel to San Diego. The meet will begin at 10:00am.
