WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR ACADEMICS?
As a student athlete your first responsibility is to your education. You are responsible for following all university guidelines and policies regarding academic eligibility, registration, financial aid, etc.
Eligibility is limited to four (4) years of collegiate participation.
You must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 to maintain status on the team.
You must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours at UNLV to remain eligible. **Should you drop below 12 credits, you will be in violation of the eligibility requirements and your status on the team will be terminated. Should you be terminated during the season, you will NOT be eligible for scholarship the following year.
All members of the squad are required to turn in mid-term reports for all registered courses. Failure to do so will result in alternate status.
All proven incidents of academic fraud should will be handled exclusively by the athletic department and the UNLV Student Conduct Code Office in accordance with its policies applicable to all UNLV students. Academic Misconduct can be defined as but not limited to: 1) Any time an institutional staff member (e.g., coach, professor, tutor, teaching assistant) is knowingly involved in arranging fraudulent academic credit or false transcripts enrolled student-athlete, regardless of whether the institutional staff member acted alone or in concert with the enrolled student-athlete. 2) Any time a student-athlete, acting alone or in concert with others, knowingly becomes involved in arranging fraudulent academic credit or false transcripts. 3) If a student-athlete acting alone or in concert, commits an academic offense (e.g., cheating on a test, assignment, plagiarism on a term paper or assist another student-athlete in that manner).

Your academic status will be monitored by your advisor. Should you need to drop or add a class, contact your advisor first. Your advisor will notify you of the process, so that it does not change your academic status.
Tutoring is available for student-athletes. Tutoring that is done on a daily basis in a classroom type setting is free of charge. Private tutoring can also be set up through your advisor.

- Incoming freshman
- Transfer student with below a 3.00 GPA
- All team members below a 3.00 GPA
Incoming freshman must complete 8 hours of study hall per week to maintain eligibility.
